London, Doha, Madrid – 2 September 2024 – In an exciting development for padel fans worldwide, Premier Padel is delighted to announce that Seba Nerone is set to join the prestigious commentary team for the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour. 

Seba Nerone was one of the most influential players in the history of padel – in a career spanning more than 25 years – including becoming world number one and winning several titles and championships. He has transitioned into one of the world’s top coaches and will bring unique insights and extensive expertise to Premier Padel tournaments around the world starting at the Comunidad de Madrid Premier Padel P1. 

He joins several of the most respected and recognisable voices in the world of padel – including Alberto Bote, Irene Gómez, Barbara Vitantonio, Jorge Martinez, David de Gustin and Matías Díaz – in providing viewers with unrivalled insights, analysis and commentary of the world leading official professional tour.

Alberto Bote: Lead Spanish commentator of Premier Padel since 2022, bringing a strong knowledge of the sport which he has covered since 2009.

Daniel Gamarra: Spanish commentator for Premier Padel since 2024 and padel coach bringing unique insight to fans during commentary.

David De Gustin: Spanish tournament commentator for Premier Padel, having been involved since 2022 and becoming one of the most dynamic voices in the sport.

Eduardo Salán: Spanish in-tournament commentator for the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour and involved with Premier Padel since 2023.

Irene Gómez: First Spanish female padel commentator of the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour and formed part of the first all-women’s commentary stint for Premier Padel with Mónica Montes in Malaga earlier this year. 

Isaías Blaiotta: Argentinian commentator of Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour focusing on in-tournament commentary. Involved with Premier Padel since 2022.

Jorge Martinez: Spanish technical commentator with Premier Padel since 2022. Offering unique perspectives on player strategies with his extensive coaching background. 

Matías Díaz: Argentinian technical commentator with Premier Padel since 2022 and former player offering compelling tactical insights.

Mónica Montes: Spanish technical commentator having joined the Premier Padel team in 2024. Formed part of the first all-women’s commentary stint for Premier Padel with Irene Gómez in Malaga earlier this year.

Barry Cowan: English commentator who has been involved with Premier Padel since 2022 and former British tennis player. 

Dave Farrar: Experienced leading English commentator for Premier Padel since 2023 and almost 30 years’ experience as a sports broadcaster. 

Gigi Salmon: English commentator for Premier Padel since 2022 with a strong reputation as a tennis journalist. 

Nick Halling: English commentator for Premier Padel since 2022 and experienced international broadcaster across many sports. 

On-court interviewers and lead presenters

Barbara Vitantonio: Experienced Argentinian sports presenter leading English and Spanish on-court post-match interviews for Premier Padel across both the men’s and women’s competitions since 2022.

Chiara Icardi: Italian journalist and bi-lingual on-court interviewer for Premier Padel since 2023.
