The Argentinean duo Chozas - Augsburger brought the shocking surprise of the day after beating Di Nenno - Lebron (#3) in three sets in one of the most exciting matches of the day. The youngsters showed composure in the decisive moments, taking the match to their ground after a comeback in the second set and resolving it in a hard-fought third set.

In the rest of the men's draw and also in all the women's, it was the higher ranked pair that won, except in the victory of Guinart - Iglesias, who were unable to finish their match due to an injury to their opponent Teresa Navarro and, therefore, automatically reach the semifinals.
