Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen will play their first-ever Premier Padel final as a pair. The action gets underway from 2:00pm local time at the Patinoire de Mériadeck, where another electric atmosphere is expected in Bordeaux as they take on world No.1 pair Gemma Triay and Delfina Brea, who are chasing their fourth title of the season.

After suffering defeats in their last two semi-finals, Triay and Brea will be eager to bounce back on French soil. On Saturday, they once again produced a composed and commanding display to defeat Ariana Sánchez and Andrea Ustero in two very different sets, 7-5, 6-1. The opening set was a back-and-forth battle featuring a series of breaks and immediate responses before eventually swinging their way, giving them the momentum to run away with the second.

Icardo and Jensen, meanwhile, pulled off one of the surprises of the tournament by defeating Paula Josemaría and Bea González (#2), the most successful pair of the 2026 season with six titles to their name. Jensen will now be targeting her second Premier Padel crown after lifting the Acapulco P1 title in 2024 alongside Jessica Castelló, while Icardo is chasing the first Premier Padel title of her career after finishing runner-up at Puerto Cabello P2 in 2024 and Málaga P1 in 2025.

26 CONSECUTIVE FINALS FOR COELLO-TAPIA AS GALÁN REACHES A CENTURY MILESTONE

Once the women’s champions at the Betclic Bordeaux Premier Padel P2 2026 are crowned, attention will shift to the men’s final and yet another edition of the ‘Superclásico’ between the two best pairs in the world. Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia continue rewriting the record books and will contest their 26th consecutive final on Sunday.

After a closely fought start to their semi-final against Paquito Navarro and Martín Di Nenno on Saturday, ‘King’ and ‘Mozart’ found the breakthrough to move 5-3 ahead in the opening set. From there, they stepped up another gear and powered their way to a 6-3, 6-2 victory, booking their place in a bid for a fourth straight title and a sixth trophy of the 2026 season.

Standing in their way once again will be ‘Chingalán’, in what will be the ninth ‘Superclásico’ across the 12 tournaments played this season, with the head-to-head currently locked at four wins apiece. In the semi-finals, ‘Ale’ and ‘Chingo’ overcame Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas with two tight 7-5 sets, finding a way through difficult moments and periods of inconsistency to once again prove they remain the only pair capable of matching Coello and Tapia’s pace.

Sunday’s final will also see Alejandro Galán reach a century milestone. The Spaniard becomes one of the very few players in professional padel history to reach 100 professional finals, adding yet another achievement to an already outstanding career.
